Ange Postecoglou 7/1 to win silverware in Nottingham Forest second season and 28/1 to be sacked after it in Spurs repeat

ANGE POSTECOGLOU is hoping to hit the ground running early doors having been appointed the new Nottingham Forest manager.

But supporters are safe in the knowledge that should it not work out for them this season, he ALWAYS wins silverware in his second season!

Paddy Power make it 7/1 that Forest will win a trophy in Ange Postecoglou’s second season

It was a quote he was beat with numerous times during a disappointing domestic campaign at Tottenham as they flirted with the relegation zone.

However, he had the last laugh when guiding Spurs to their first major trophy in 17 years with that Europa League final win over Manchester United.

Now he’ll get a chance to defend his title but as Forest boss following their promotion to the competition at Crystal Palace’s expense.

That success was the latest in a long run of silverware success during second seasons in charge.

Most recently was a domestic treble with Celtic in 2022-23 and taking Yokohama F. Marinos to their first Japanese league title in 15 years, back in 2019.

Paddy Power have priced up a repeat of this and make it 7/1 that Forest will win a trophy in 2026-27 – excluding the Championship or Community Shield.

While it’s 3/1 odds for Forest to win a trophy in either the 2025-26 or 2026-27 season.

The Greek-born Aussie is also 12/1 to win the Europa League again with this Forest side.

And interestingly, given Evangelos Marinakis’ brutal hiring and firing record, Postecoglou is 28/1 to win a trophy with Forest and still get the sack before the end of his second season – in an exact repeat of his tenure with Spurs.
