Her new tour will focus on her hit album Eternal Sunshine

It will be the first time she has played the iconic venue in seven years.

The last time Ariana Grande played the venue was part of her Sweetener Tour in 2019 when she played five gigs in The O2 as well as two shows in Birmingham and one in Sheffield.

Her upcoming shows will be a world tour but only select dates around the globe.

The gigs, billed as the Brighter Days Tour, are in support of her seventh album Eternal Sunshine.

Released in March 2024, the emotional album was all about the breakdown of Ariana’s marriage to Dalton Gomez and finding love with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, 33.

However, The Sun understands new more uplifting music is in the works to be released ahead of the huge shows.

Keen to stick with the theme of her Brighter Days short film, Ari’s creative director Chrisian Breslauer is also on board to mastermind the tour.

A source said: “Ariana is going back on tour and will play London’s O2 Arena next June.

“Right now it’s only a couple of dates but there is always scope to add more when, not if, they sell out.

“Ari has been vocal about wanting to perform for her fans again but also not wanting to live her life on the road.

“So yes it’s a global tour but more a scattering of dates around the world rather than some mammoth trek.”

Ariana has taken a break from music over the the past 12 months to focus on acting.

Her role of Glinda in Wicked has seen her become one of the most in demand stars in Hollywood, bagging her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars.

Ariana previously said of balancing different parts of her career: “Music will always be a part of my life but I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life.

” “I think the next few years, hopefully we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now. I am appreciative for [my fans’] understanding. I’m so grateful for the ways in which we’ve grown together over this whole journey with Wicked.”
