WE all know the usual places to find a bargain – the charity shops, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace.
But one savvy reseller has shared a new location they’ve found that’s a hidden gem in terms of picking up a genuine bargain buy.
It’s the Sound for a Pound clothing sale in Walsall, where absolutely everything is £1[/caption]
Jasmine’s bag was so heavy that she had to get someone else to carry it to the car for her[/caption]
In a video on her TikTok page, Jasmine showed herself heading to the Sound for a Pound clothing sale in Walsall – two hours and 18 minutes away from her home.
Insisting it’s definitely “worth it” to travel there, Jasmine explained she’d given herself a budget of £30 to see what she could find.
“At Sound for a Pound everything is £1,” she said in the TikTok.
“So coats, jackets, jumpers, tops… everything in there is £1.”
Jasmine’s video showed exactly what the sale looked like inside, and she added that while it might look like “carnage” – with tables piled high with clothes and bargains galore – it was busier the previous time she’d visited.
“I came on a Saturday which surprisingly wasn’t as busy as when I came on a Wednesday,” Jasmine said, referring to the two days of the week the sale is actually open.
“It does look like carnage but if you look back at my last video it was definitely busier!”
Jasmine then showed her bag being filled up with bits from the tables, as the items were counted.
“So I said £30 was my budget and I wasn’t actually counting, but I literally had exactly 30 items!” Jasmine said.
“So I was pretty impressed with that.”
In fact, the bag was so jampacked with bargains that Jasmine had to enlist the help of someone else to carry it to the car for her.
Once she was safely back at hers with her buys, Jasmine went through the epic haul, kicking off with a cute Primark jumper she’d bought for herself, which had “Mon Cherí” written on the front.
She also picked up a couple of Christmas jumpers, a sparkly bodysuit and a Mango jumper with a “really cute embellishment” on the front which would be perfect for Christmas.
Other items she managed to nab was a 100% pure lambswool jumper from Next, and a Regatta zip up jumper – which was dirty but Jasmine was hoping she’d be able to manage to get the stains out of.
She got some leather trousers from Zara, a Stradivarius jumper, and a Per Una trench coat which is in “really, really good condition”.
There were some River Island white jeans, and even some items that were new with tags – that Jasmine said she always snaps up.
