B&Q is selling a £3 Christmas tree that is perfect for getting ready for the festive season.
Despite the big day being over three months away, many are getting prepared early.
Those looking to get in the festive spirit early can pick up a bargain £3 Christmas tree at the DIY store.
The tree is just 1ft tall, making it perfect for those looking to brighten up their work desk or bedroom.
Shoppers have left glowing reviews of the tiny artificial decoration, with one describing it as the “perfect table top Christmas tree”.
Another customer shared that they bought eight of them and said it was a “great little tree for the price.”
While a third said: “I am very pleased with the three table top Christmas trees I bought, they are exactly what I was looking for.
“I have decorated them with battery powered lights and they look very Christmassy . I think they were excellent value.”
Those looking to get their hands on the tree should know it is not available for click and collect.
So you will need to head to one of B&Q’s 300 stores to get your hands on the bargain.
Alternatively, you can order it online and have it delivered to your home.
But if you go down this route you will need to factor in a £6 delivery fee.
You can find your nearest B&Q by visiting www.diy.com/find-a-store.
If you are on the hunt for bargain Christmas trees it may be worth shopping around to ensure there are not better offers elsewhere.
Next is selling a version for £12 and Dunelm’s take on the mini festive staple costs £7.
Countdown to Christmas
Despite it only being the start of the autumn season, many retailers are already rolling out their Christmas stock.
Morrisons was running an offer on chocolate tubs such as Quality Street, Roses and Celebrations.
The supermarket was letting customers bag two tubs for just £9.
Normally, the tubs sell for £7 each, so the deal works out as a saving of up to 36%.
The deal ended yesterday, but it will likely not be your last chance to grab a bargain on the tubs.
And those keen to tuck into Quality Street tubs this year should know that maker Nestle has shrunk the size of the treat.
The iconic purple tubs have been reduced from 600g to 550g, with chocs going down from approximately 63 chocs to 57.
A Nestlé spokesperson has this to say last week: “Each year we introduce a new Quality Street range with formats, sizes, weights and RRPs based on a range of factors including the cost of manufacturing, ingredients and transport and the preferences of our customers and consumers.“
How to bag a bargain
SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…
Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.
Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
