A CHAMPION bodybuilder was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend during a brutal fight in their apartment.
Cops say Valter de Vargas Aita, 41, was knifed multiple times before collapsing dead in the stairwell of his building in Brazil.

The horrifying incident unfolded in Chapeco, a city in the west of the state of Santa Catarina, on the morning of Sunday, September 7.
Police revealed Valter had stab wounds to his abdomen, back, face and neck.
Gruesome images released by investigators show how he left blood marks in the corridors and stairwells as he tried desperately to escape.
The bodybuilder collapsed and died on the stairs of the building after the frenzied attack.
Neighbours reported hearing the sounds of a violent fight before officers arrived.
When cops entered the apartment block, they found Valter already dead.
His 43-year-old partner, who has not been named, was also stabbed in the fight.
She was taken to hospital in serious condition, police confirmed.
If she survives her injuries, officers say she will remain under custody for the alleged murder.
Local outlet ClicRDC reported the woman already had an outstanding warrant for armed robbery and murder.
She was reportedly facing a 15-year prison sentence at the time of the killing.
Valter, originally from Rio Grande do Sul, had competed in bodybuilding for more than a decade.
He was a World Fitness Federation runner-up and a five-time state bodybuilding champion.
He also worked as a personal trainer, sharing his workout routines and diet tips with thousands of followers online.
The gym where Valter worked announced it would not open on Monday as a mark of respect.
“Forever in our hearts,” the gym said in a statement on social media on Sunday.
The Civil Police homicide division have opened an investigation into the killing.
They said the motive for the crime is still unclear.
