Chloe Burrows hits back after quitting Celeb SAS in 38 hours – saying she got paid in full & ‘just wanted bed and vape’

CHLOE Burrows has defended her decision to quit Celebrity SAS after less than two days on the course.

The former Love Islander was one of the 12 recruits taking part on this year’s series, which is currently airing on Channel 4.

However, just 38 hours on the show, Chloe dramatically exited the show, telling the DS team that she had “had enough” while walking up a steep hill.

Handing in her armband to VW (voluntarily withdraw), Chloe was joined by fellow Islander Tasha Ghouri, who claimed she “wasn’t mentally there” to take on the challenge and has refused to acknowledge the show since.

Speaking on her podcast, Chloe Vs. The World today, Chloe defended herself from online critics but admitted she was “violently under-prepared” to take on such a gruelling show.

“I left. I quit, because guess what, guys, it’s f**king hell,” she declared. “It’s hell, no one ever do it.

“I don’t even know why I did… well I know why I did it. I’ve loved that show for years, me and my dad used to watch it going up, and obviously they said, ‘Do you want this opportunity? And I was like, Hell’s f**king yeah, I will smash it’.

“I thought I’d be quite good. I spoke to, I think Pete Wicks, and he was like, ‘it’s not even that bad’. Pete, you’re a liar.”

Admitting she had worn herself too thin ahead of going to the show –  doing an eight-day stint in Ibiza before filming Sidemen’s Inside show for Netflix – Chloe revealed she had been clubbing until the early hours of the morning on the day she left to take part on Celeb SAS.

On the moment she quit, Chloe said: “I think I said, ‘all I need is my bed and a vape’, and I that I did need. So that was the end of that.

“It was like 30 hours of hell. I don’t know how they did it. Honestly, and it’s really hard to be in a good mood when you’re like, cold, tired, wet, hungry, knowing you’re gonna do something awful.

“I just didn’t have it in me. I was in hell. I wanted to cry, and I’ve never been happier than when I did the seven hour drive back.”

Despite exiting the show early, Chloe responded to a string of comments about her stint – and smiled as she confirmed she did still get paid her full fee for participating.

“Does she still get paid? Yes, I did,” she admitted. “At the end of the day, I see all the hate comments, I knew I was gonna get it, but no one can be like, harder on me than myself.

“I was devastated. If I was to do it again, I would… I knew I wasn’t prepared, I should have pulled out, but then, we didn’t know if they were doing another season.

“It’s a show I’ve loved and I’ve wanted to do for years, why would I not take that opportunity? I just wanted to live it. I was just very violently unprepared.”
