Cops release CCTV of man after woman in her 20s is followed from pub in broad daylight and ‘sexually assaulted’

Police have released an image of man amid investigations into a sexual assault that occurred at a pub in broad daylight.

The sexual assault is reported to have occurred in Morpeth town centre on the after of Tuesday, August 5.

Police hope to identify a man with a band tattoo on his wrist for enquiries

The man is reported to have followed a woman in her 20s as she left The Electrical Wizard Pub in Morpeth town centre on Oldgate/New Market between 1.30pm and 1.45pm.

Officers have carried out extensive enquiries since the report was first made.

An image of a man was released today, who police would like to identify in connection to the report and to help with enquiries.

He is said to have a distinctive band tattoo on his left wrist.

The man is believed to have been in the area at the time of the offence.

Northumbria Police are calling on anyone who recognises him to send them a direct message on social media or use the live chat function and reports form on their website.
