David Platt was shocked by the news[/caption]

It all kicked off when David Platt’s bin wars with new next door neighbour Carla Connor took a turn when David found two bags of her rubbish in her bin.

His rage soon turned to amusement when he also discovered a positive pregnancy test – and immediately assumed it was Carla’s stepdaughter Betsy’s.

However he was swiftly given a reality check when his own sister Sarah pointed out that his young daughter Lily had been displaying quite a few signs herself.

She had been sick in the morning, had been complaining of stomach pains and as Sarah pointed out – she was pregnant at Lily’s age.

David was horrified and quickly confronted his daughter – which did not go well.

She locked herself in her room and Sarah wasted no time in filling David’s wife Shona in on the drama, that led to her returning home.

Shona told David: “David, Lily – where is she?”

He told her: “Oh she’s upstairs. She’s locked herself in her room, she hates me apparently.”

“Well it’s hardly surprising, is it?” Shona hit back. “What were you thinking?”

“What do you mean what was I thinking?” replied David, still convinced his daughter is pregnant.

“What was I supposed to do – congratulate her?”

But then Shona dropped a bombshell of her own.

“No but you could’ve congratulated me, well, us,” she told him.

“It wasn’t her test, was it? It was mine you muppet.”

David looked absolutely shellshocked with the news he’s expecting another child with one in prison and the other well on her way if recent behaviour is anything to go by.
