GARY ANDERSON produced an incredible piece of sportsmanship against Callan Rydz.
The veteran darts star overcame his opponent 6-4 at the Players Championship 26.
Anderson responded by hitting a 180 in the next leg and went on to win the match[/caption]
The tournament is a floor event rather than the stage so players expect quiet when throwing at the board.
But there was noise from a section of the crowd, leading Anderson to offer a reprimand.
After his throw he appeared to say to someone: “We’re playing darts here.”
However he did so during Rydz’s throw, and felt he unfairly distracted his opponent.
So Anderson decided to bust out by hitting the bullseye when he needed double 20 to win the leg.
That gave Rdyz the chance to return to the oche and win the leg, which he did by hitting double ten.
Fans were in awe of the Scot’s gesture of sportsmanship – Anderson also remarkably responded by hitting 180 with his next throw.
One viewer reacted to the incident saying: “That guy is a class act.”

Another added: “One of the best bits of sportsmanship you’ll ever see.”
A third wrote: “Great to see from Gary. A proper show of sportsmanship ”
And another commented: “That was absolute class, both the gesture and the fact he just hit the bull so nonchalantly.”
