With the extra day off, many people will be focusing their energy on the DIY tasks they’ve been putting off for months.
And one of them will most likely be painting the home.
Whether it’s a full-on room transformation or just a touch-up, we know painting can take time and get messy.
But one savvy mum has revealed a genius trick to keep yourself clean while doing it.
So it’s perfect if you want to spend the bank holiday being productive in the morning and going out for dinner later.
Natasha Lawson took to social media to share her mum’s nifty trick.
In the video, her mum could be seen painting their council house kitchen ceiling.
But to avoid the paint splatter, she fashioned a bin bag dress.
“Anyone else’s mum make themselves a ‘bin bag paint dress’ when they get the paint on?” Natasha wrote.
The easy hack was not only effective but also super cheap as a roll of 20 bin bags cost just £3 from Dunelm.
The clip quickly went viral on her TikTok account @natashalawson20 with over 184k views and 3,400 likes.
People were quick to take to the comments and share their thoughts, many hailing the mum a genius.
One person wrote: “No, but I will be doing from now on.”
Another commented: “No just been wrecking my clothes for years, genius idea.”
“No, but great idea which I’ll be doing from now on,” penned a third.
