Dyche has popped up here and there since being sacked, appearing on sports panel shows Stick to Football and A League of Their Own.
But fans wouldn’t have expected him to dip his toe into reality TV.
That’s exactly what’s happened, however, with Dyche appearing on last night’s episode of Celebs Go Dating.
The E4 programme attempts to match up various celebrities across a variety of dates – varying from brilliant to cringeworthy.
Former Atomic Kitten Katona, 44, has been appearing on the show after splitting with her former fiance Ryan Mahoney last November.
Katona appears to have found love with personal trainer Paolo Margaglione.
As the pair dated on last night’s episode, Dyche amazingly rocked up.
Famously a huge music fan, Dyche came up to greet his pal Katona.

The 54-year-old came over and beamed: “Hello! How are you?”
This confused voiceover man and comedian Rob Beckett, who cut in: “Surely not! That’s ex-Everton, Watford and Burnley football manager Sean Dyche!”
As Dyche and Katona hugged, Beckett joked: “Is Sean one of her ex-husbands?”
When Katona asked “You good?” Dyche pointed at Paolo and replied: “You dating these Northerners now are you?”
The footie boss shrugged and said “fair play” before shaking Paolo’s hand and continuing: “Lovely to meet you.”
Dyche then made to leave, adding: “I’ll leave you to it, I just wanted to say hello.”
Katona joked: “I thought you were going to ask me out on a date then!”
Beckett quipped: “Err, Paolo is still sat there Kerry.”
Katona then said: “I’m doing well, he’s lovely. I’m sticking with my guns, I’m going to stay.”
Dyche concluded “Good, it’s lovely to see you” before kissing Katona on the cheek and shaking Paolo’s hand once again.
Beckett joked: “Well that wasn’t weird in the slightest was it?”
Katona has been married three times; to singer Brian McFadden, taxi driver Mark Croft and ex-rugby league player George Kay.
She has five children, two with McFadden, two with Croft and one with Kay.
Dyche, meanwhile, has been married to childhood sweetheart Jane for 25 years.
The couple have two children together; Northampton footballer Max, 22, and daughter Alicia, 20.
