A TOP music star has revealed medics were called after she “passed out backstage” from “pure exhaustion.”
It came as the former hip hop band member, now solo act, ticked off five shows in just one weekend.

Now So Solid Crew‘s Lisa Maffia has told of her horror health woes backstage and posted an Instagram video showing her being monitored by paramedics.
She managed to flash a smile as she clutched a bottle of water and sat perched on a box as she recovered.
In her caption the 46-year-old, who performed two live garage workout shows in London last weekend, as well as featuring at Notting Hill Carnival and performing with Rampage Sound, detailed the impact of her busy schedule.
The 21 Seconds hitmaker told fans: “You see the stage, the shows, the energy… but not always what it takes to keep going.
“This was after my fifth show in one weekend. I passed out backstage from pure exhaustion, and medics had to step in! You can see my hands still shaking.
“I’m good now, Thank God. But it reminded me how important it is to slow down and listen to your body.
“I’ve been in this industry for 25 years. From So Solid to solo, I’ve given everything to my music, my supporters, and my purpose.
“I love what I do. But moments like this are part of the journey too.
This isn’t about weakness—it’s about truth. Even when we’re built strong, we still need rest. We still need grace.”
Lisa then quoted a passage from the Bible which read: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest — Matthew 11:28.
“To anyone out there chasing your calling: don’t forget to look after you, too. Rest is not laziness —it’s trusting the Lord’s perfect timing!
“If you’re running on empty, don’t wait for your body to remind you. Rest. Refill. Realign. Your purpose needs a healthy you.
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles…” — Isaiah 40:31.”
Lisa’s social media fans were quick to show their support.
One wrote: “Sorry to hear that I’m glad your ok.”
Another posted: “Sending love gorgeous. Hope you get time to rest and look after yourself.”
A third mused: “Health Is wealth girl hope your good.”
One then added: “You always always give 100 per cent. Love you x”
As well as her music gigs, Lisa teamed up with the AA’s car health assistant Vixa this summer and created track Keep It Rollin – her first release in eight years.
It had a joint mission of celebrating the UK garage revival and raising awareness on how Vixa can prevent breakdowns.
At the time, she said: “I wanted to bring some fun and energy to something we all deal with — car troubles.
“The track blends those classic garage sounds with real car noises to show just how smooth life runs when your ride’s in good shape.”
OFF STAGE
Away from the stage, the In Love vocalist also grafts cleaning loos and emptying bins at a local church, as exclusively revealed by The Sun.
In October, 2001, her band So Solid Crew released their first album, They Don’t Know, which performed moderately well on the UK charts.
But it was their breakout single 21 Seconds that would carry the band’s major success throughout the year.
The song went platinum within weeks, and it seemed like everything was looking up for the new group.
Now, Lisa has appeared in a new video, showing herself volunteering in a role a far cry from her music career.
The star is part of CityGate church, and she offers her services for the church, which can include welcoming people as they arrive, teaching or caring for kids during services, playing music or singing, managing sound, slides, or livestream, and preparing the building for services or events.
Meanwhile, she left fans doing a double take last year – with fans saying “you’re ageing backwards”.
