FRANKIE Bridge has come under fire after revealing she’s let her 11-year-old son go out into their nearest town alone.
The 36-year-old Loose Women star is mum to two sons – Parker, 11, and Carter, nine – with her footballer husband Wayne.
But she found herself sparking fury after revealing her latest parenting decision in a video on her TikTok page.
“I have just dropped my first born off to his first time hanging out with his friends on his own in town,” Frankie said, adding she’s “trying to be the cool mum about it”.
Despite that, she admitted that Parker doesn’t “really know how to cross the road properly” and forgets to put his seatbelt on “every time” he gets in the car.
“I don’t think I’ve ever left him anywhere on his own, and today is the day,” she continued.
Revealing that he’s been “talking about it for two weeks”, Frankie said Parker was meeting a group of friends, and others “from the all girls school”.
“First of all, how am I a mum that has a child that’s going into secondary school and that’s now apparently doing things on his own?” she added.
“Second of all like how are you supposed to be okay with them having a life and moving on?”
When it comes to the advice she gave him before his big afternoon out, although she acknowledged she wasn’t sure “how helpful” it was, Frankie said she told him “don’t be a dick”.
She also said: “Don’t be rude to people, don’t get in a fight, be polite don’t make fun of people and don’t make people feel intimidated.”
Concluding, Frankie said that the situation is a big test of “how good” her parenting has been.
“Have you told them the right things?” she mused.
“Are they the kind of kid that’s going to listen to those things or remember those things in the moments where they need them?”
“Some solid parenting,” Frankie wrote in the video caption.
And in the comments section, people were quick to take aim at Frankie, as they insisted Parker is “way too young” to be allowed out on his own.
“11 is crazy, I was at least 13,” one wrote.
“He is 11, absolutely too young to be in town,” another added.

“My oldest is nearly 16 and he only went out for the first time with mates two days ago,” a third commented.
“And it’s so worrying.”
“11 way too young, my daughter just turned 13 and still not allowed to go hang out in town with friends,” someone else said.
“No way, 11 is way to young – not in this day and age,” another wrote.
“11 is way too young I’m sorry but the world is just not safe now,” someone else agreed.
However, others defended Frankie, with one reminding her: “You were an actual popstar at this age… he’ll be fine.”
“People be overprotecting kids in the real world and under protecting in the online world,” another added.
“They’re more likely to experience harm through social media than being in town with friends!”
“This comment section makes me realise why there’s 17/18/19/20 year olds still sat in their bedrooms with no jobs or social life……” a third said.
“My lad is 10. I allow him to get the bus with his mates into the next town,” someone else wrote.
“Parents now unfortunately push their kids down a path of screens and obesity.”
“He will be fine,” another wrote.
