And now Gordon, 58, is smiling all the way to his bank after its revealed the huge amount he makes in a WEEK.
Gordon has two firms connected to his TV work and image rights – Humble Pie Media and Humble Pie Productions.
They made a combined profit of £10.7m last financial year.
That means he’s made around £29,315 a day and a whopping £205k a week – bringing home a similar wage to a Premier League footballer.
The two firms have now got combined reserves of £17M.
Earlier this week The Sun revealed that Gordon could be bringing back his iconic show Hell’s Kitchen, while also cooking up plans to open restaurants here with the show’s name.
His American version of the show, launched after he hosted the first UK series, has been hugely popular for 20 years and he has a successful chain bearing the brand in the US.
Gordon has now also trademarked the Hell’s Kitchen name in the UK so it can be used in restaurants which could open immediately after the show reboots on ITV.
A TV insider told The Sun: “Fans of the show will be doubly thrilled by the prospect of the competition coming back and being able to dine in a Hell’s Kitchen restaurant over here.
“Business-savvy Gordon has watched as the popularity of Hell’s Kitchen in the US has helped bring in thousands of customers to his restaurants.
“The programme is broadcast in more than 100 countries around the world so between tourists visiting Britain and developing a whole new audience for the telly contest in the UK, it’s an incredibly smart move on his part.”
The Sun exclusively revealed last year ITV was in talks with his creative team about reviving Hell’s Kitchen.
He only hosted one UK series in 2004 but it remains infamous for his potty-mouthed put-downs and clashes with celeb contestants.
Gordon launched the programme in the US the following year and he became a huge star over there.
That saw him open his first Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in 2018, serving British favourites including beef wellington and sticky toffee pudding.
They are currently in seven locations across the US including Las Vegas, Miami, California and Washington DC.
