Harry Styles locked in row over plans for ‘mega mansion’ with cinema, sauna & gym as neighbours slam ‘overbearing’ home

HARRY Styles is mired in a row with his neighbours over claims he plans to build a mega-mansion, it is claimed.

The former One Direction pop star is combining two homes in Hampstead, north London, but locals reportedly fear it’ll obstruct light into their homes.

A planning application submitted to the council includes a master suite with four dressing rooms, a gallery, drawing room and TV room, as well as a basement cinema, pool, sauna, gym and garden water feature.

It comes after The Sun revealed Styles has snapped up a fourth house in the same road – and is reportedly looking to rival pal Ed Sheeran‘s Suffolk estate.

Residents have told The Daily Telegraph they are worried the plans could be “a little overbearing and cause some loss of light”.

One neighbour said: “It’s sad living next to a building site all the time.”

They added that the houses are “constantly” being snapped up by millionaires and “redone”.

They said it has meant is “less community” on the street now, with some people opting to move away.

Styles, 31, meanwhile, was last week seen with Hollywood actress Zoe Kravitz looking loved up in New York.

Recent reports claimed they were more like “friends with benefits” than officially dating.

However they were seen looking cosy during a three-minute embrace – with the witness insisting: “It was clear they are definitely a couple.”

Two of Styles’ neighbours lodged complaints after he submitted the mansion plans to his local council, arguing their rights to natural light could be “infringed”.

A letter from reps for the complainants, said: “My client is also deeply concerned about their private legal Rights to Light that might be infringed by virtue of the implementation of the proposal or a similar scheme of this nature.”

It’s understood Styles bought the property for £8.8million in April 2019 and later also bought the adjoining house for £4.175million, and then a third property last year – before snapping up the fourth.

The musician was given planning permission in April to combine the properties into a mega-mansion, as long as he created a wildlife haven, including boxes for hedgehogs and bats.

Further plans have been submitted in recent days to tweak parts of the development.

His reps said in accompanying docs: “The proposed development has been carefully crafted to bring the building back as one of the great Hampstead houses.

“It proposes to amalgamate the two houses, along with internal and alterations, extensions to the second, ground and lower ground floors, and extensive landscaping in order to reinstate and provide substantial enhancement to the Grade II listed building.”

They added community engagement events had taken place and insisted the plans do not intrude on light.

The Telegraph reports Styles hopes the plans are completed by October 2027.

A source told us: “Harry is giving Ed a run for his money with his North London estate.

“He has three houses on one road in Hampstead and now he has quietly bought another.

“Two of the homes are being converted into one mega mansion, while the third sits a way away from them and is a bit of an investment property.

“This fourth new pad could be part of the mega-mansion estate and will be connected to the two houses, which are being knocked through, by a drive and a massive garden.

“It’s incredible the work Harry is putting into making this dream home.”
