Horse racing tips: ‘He’s rapidly progressing and looks a Group horse in the making’ – Templegate’s Sunday NAP

TEMPLEGATE is in red-hot form having fired in bucket loads of winners on Friday and Saturday – his tips for Sunday are below.

ALMERAQ (4.30 York, nap).

The William Haggas-trained sprinter looked right out of the top drawer when blowing his rivals away by five lengths at Ayr last time. He is totally unexposed and holds an entry in the Group 1 Champions Sprint. He will take all the beating.

REVELANCE (5.00 York, nb)

Ralph Beckett’s improving filly battled for victory at Salisbury before an easy success in a small-field race at Epsom last time. She is on a steep upward curve and looks fairly treated off a mark of 83.

BLACKACRE (3.12 Fontwell, treble)

Evan Williams’ six-year-old has won doing handstands at Newton Abbot the last twice. The handicapper has bumped him up another 8lb but it won’t be enough to stop him completing the hat-trick in a weak race.
