Who is hosting the NTAs 2025?
The Masked Singer UK host Joel Dommett returns for his fifth year in a row.
The popular presenter replaced comedian David Walliams back in 2021.
Speaking about presenting the show again in 2024, he told The Sun: “The lead up to it is almost harder than the night itself.
“As soon as they press record, that’s when I relax.
“Whether it goes wrong or right, it’s just happening.
“The preparation is the difficult thing, to get the script right, get all the production right, that’s such a big operation.
“So, honestly, as soon as they go: ‘And we’re live!’ I’m like: ‘Ahh, just enjoy it now.’”
Joel continued: “I think the job as a live TV presenter is to remain calm.
“It’s like you’re a duck — underneath the water your feet are going mad and on top you’re just elegantly swimming across the water of the NTAs. That’s what I try to do.”
On this year’s ceremony, he said: “The NTAs are 30 years old and the party planning starts here!
“Star guests? Check. All our best-loved shows? Check. My payment? Cheque. Join us at London’s O2 to mark this extra special evening!”
And on 2025’s shortlist, he added: “It’s the best the shortlist has ever been since I’ve hosted it. I genuinely don’t know which way it’s going to go.
“That’s what’s really exciting about the NTAs — it’s shows, those things that are loved by the public.
“It’s not decided by a panel or a committee. It’s the people at home — it’s what they like, it’s what they watch.”
