A WOMAN has left people gobsmacked with her jaw-dropping smile makeover.
Tracy Clifford took to TikTok to show off her brand new gnashers after jetting off abroad for the so-called ”Turkey teeth”.
In total, she forked out £3250 for 24 crowns – however, this sum also included her stay at an all-inclusive hotel for seven nights, as well as all the transfers[/caption]
It’s estimated that 150,000 to 200,000 UK residents travel to Turkey annually for cosmetic dental procedures, according to UK Smiles.
The trend is driven by typically lower costs, but it comes with potential risks such as botched procedures, nerve damage and the need for corrective work back in Britain.
Despite the dangers, Tracy insisted she would ”100%” recommend people overhauling their original smiles.
According to the Brit, she ”hated” her real teeth ”more than anything” – and reckoned her gnashers made her look ”60” when she was just 48.
While the process was by no means easy, Tracy claimed it ”was easier” than she expected, proudly showing off the Before and After in a video posted on her page.
In total, she forked out £3250 for 24 crowns – however, this sum also included her stay at an all-inclusive hotel for seven nights, as well as all the transfers.
Tracy said: ”I thought my price was pretty good to be fair. They quoted me £3450 but only charged me £3250 when I got here as I only needed one root canal.
”But my husband got a quote while we have been here and his was around £5k for all on six implants, I’m just crowns,” explained Tracy who flew to Antalya.
All chuffed with her brand new smile, the blonde beauty said ”the confidence boost is unreal”.
”Wish I had of done it sooner rather than waiting till I’m 48.”
The jaw-dropping transformation has taken the internet by storm, winning Tracy more than 92k views in less than 24 hours.
As close to 900 people gave it a like, dozens flooded to comments – where it was a mixed bag of emotions.
Many, like Tracy, loved the makeover – but there were also plenty of those who found her pearly whites ”too falsey”.
Dentist-approved teeth whitening tips
ERIN Fraundorf, DMD, MSD, owner of BOCA Orthodontic + Whitening Studio in Missouri, shared her top tips for whiter teeth.
Seek whitening treatment from a professional. It’s often stronger and will be the most effective so you don’t waste your money on a product that doesn’t work or may harm you. You also only get one set of teeth, so it’s best not to experiment on them.
Consider the cause of the staining. There are numerous causes for teeth to have a yellow or brown tint. Be sure to get evaluated and diagnosed by a professional to ensure you receive the best treatment for your stains. Not all stains are the same so they may require different treatments.
Consider your lifestyle, smile goals, and budget. When choosing a whitening treatment that is best for you, consider multiple factors when designing a custom plan. Some people like homework to whiten at home, some prefer in-office treatments only, some need to get really bright really fast — for a wedding, for example — whereas others would like a more gentle, gradual, consistent approach to whitening.
Ease into it. Start integrating teeth whitening into your routine gradually to get your teeth accustomed to it and you can closely monitor your level of sensitivity to regulate how frequently you can whiten.
Try to prevent. Make tiny changes to your lifestyle in an effort to prevent staining from penetrating your teeth. For example, sip staining beverages through a straw, swish with plain water after drinking anything staining, and pick flat water over sparkling whenever possible.
Water floss to help in between the teeth stains. Blast away stubborn stains in between your teeth with a water flosser, because toothbrush bristles can only reach so much of your tooth surface.
One troll joked and wrote: ”WHOA. . . let me get me shades.”
Someone else agreed, commenting: ”too much too white.”
While Tracy herself did ”agree” the shade was too bright, she insisted the fake look ”will settle down a bit in next few months”.
Luckily, the reaction was mainly positive, as one fan of the glow-up said: ”They look great, but more importantly they make you happy.”
Another TikToker penned: ”They look amazing, more importantly you’re much happier! Win win.”
”Absolutely gorgeous well done you should be so proud,” a third added.
