I got Primark stick on nails for my holiday as I refuse to pay for a pro mani – I showed how long they last

A BEAUTY lover who was fed up with pricey professional manicures decided to put Primark’s budget stick-on nails to the ultimate test during a week away.

Amy shared how she picked up a pair of the purse-friendly nails to see how long they would last.

In a clip on her @atzv.19 account, she wrote:  “Seeing how long my Primark nails will last on my holiday bc I refuse to get them done properly.”

To attach them in place, she used the glue that comes in the packet, and didn’t use a different product.

Updating followers each day, she shared exactly how the bargain buy held up against sun, sand, and suitcase dragging.

On the first day, she reported that all Primark nails were intact and “feeling secure.”

By day two and three, she admitted she was starting to do activities that might cause them to loosen, but miraculously they still held strong.

She confessed on day four and five that she was “shocked” that they were still on fine.

She shared: “Thought they’d be coming off by now but they’re all solidly on still!”

Even as the week wore on, the nails clung on – but there was signs of movement.

On day six and seven she said: “One is very slightly loose but that’s it lol!

“I am gonna have to force them off tomorrow if they don’t all fall off in one day.”

Finally, on day eight, which was thankfully the last day of the trip, one nail popped off – but only while she was grabbing her suitcase off the belt.

She clarified how it hadn’t actually been the “loose one,” but said she was impressed that the rest stayed firmly in place.

Amy concluded: “I literally had to force them all off bc I had work the next day (why I won’t pay for them because there’s no point imo [in my opinion].”

Viewers flooded the comments to say her updates were the “best advert” Primark could ever wish for, proving the budget nails can go head-to-head with a salon set.

One said: “I also got Primark nails for holiday!! lasted the whole 3 weeks, it was crazy.”

Another added: “Primark nails are the best! I love them.”

For holiday-goers looking to save cash without sacrificing style, her fun experiment might just be the reassurance they need.

She’s not the only person loving the affordable nails.

We previously shared how a woman claimed she saved £300 by buying Primark’s £1.80 nails.

She said they take two minutes to put on and last all week.

Why Primark is great for looking expensive on a budget

AS someone who’s no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it’s about time that celebrities started catching on too.

For as long as I’ve been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those “I have nothing to wear” moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect.

And I’m definitely not alone – on any Friday or Saturday night, you’ll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time.

But no matter what, Primark always delivers.

Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores.

While Rita’s not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she’s proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less.

Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham – if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards.

With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I’m sure more stars will be following suit soon enough.
