A WOMAN has revealed that losing weight isn’t all that it seems.
Enoabora took to social media to share her weight loss journey, revealing the negative side effects that can happen.
But she was left struggling with one side effect[/caption]
In the clip, Enoabora could be seen wearing her gym clothes and a waist trainer underneath.
The incredible woman had managed to shift over 16.5stone in the past four years, sticking to a healthy diet and exercise.
But she was struggling with one thing, loose skin.
In the clip, she wrote: “The scary part about losing weight…”
Underneath her waist trainer, Enoabora had wrapped her stomach tightly in clingfilm.
As she took it off, it revealed that she had lots of lose skin from her dramatic weight loss.
While she was clearly insecure about it, stating in another video she wants to get it ‘cut off,’ she was still proud of the journey she has gone through.
And the clingfilm, which may seem bizarre, does actually have a specific use.
According to Bootsy, it works like a DIY body wrap.
While it can’t help you lose weight, some research shows it can help tighten and firm up skin.
The clip was shared on her TikTok account @enoaboraa with over 36 million views and 1.3 million likes.
People were quick to congratulate her in the comments on the incredible progress she had made.
One person wrote: “Your loose skin is a reminder of how hard you work. It’s your body’s trophy. Don’t let anyone tell you different.”
Another commented: “I’m proud of you stranger.”
“Honestly, this is why I’m scared to lose weight, I’m scared I’m gonna hate the loose skin more than the fat,” penned a third.
The 5 best exercises to lose weight
By Lucy Gornall, personal trainer and health journalist
EXERCISE can be intimidating and hard to devote yourself to. So how do you find the right workout for you?
As a PT and fitness journalist, I’ve tried everything.
I’ve taken part in endless fitness competitions, marathons and I maintain a regime of runs, strength training and Pilates.
Fitness is so entrenched in my life, I stick to it even at Christmas!
The key is finding an activity you love that can become a habit.
My top five forms of exercise, especially if you’re trying to lose weight, are:
- Walking
- Running
- Pilates
- High-intensity interval training (HIIT)
- Strength training
Meanwhile a fourth said: “You should be proud of yourself, it isn’t easy for everyone to do that.”
“I have loose skin after losing 140kg, I hate my body now even more,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “That’s why I’m scared to lose weight.”
