A WOMAN has revealed that she thought she looked cute at a baby shower until her older brother compared her dress to a Wetherspoons plate.
Nicol Paige explained that she doesn’t normally wear florals, but decided to go for something a bit different for the recent event.

The curly-haired girl opted for a long-sleeved blue and white floral frock, which she paired with some black heeled mules.
While Nicol thought her outfit looked “rather cute,” she and her loved ones were soon left “crying with laughter” after her brother’s hilarious comparison.
Posting on social media, the content creator shared a snap of her in the gorgeous dress, as she said: “So I went to a baby shower this afternoon and I thought my outfit looked rather cute.
“I’m not a floral girly, but, you know, I felt like a little girl, I felt feminine, you know what I mean?”
Nicol believed her short dress was “fitting for a baby shower,” but after two hours at the event, her brother said she “looked like a Wetherspoons plate.”
Despite her initial shock, Nicol admitted that she found her brother’s comment “quite funny.”
She confirmed that she, along with the others around her, were soon sent into fits of laughter at the humorous comparison.
Understanding her brother’s thoughts and recognising the similarities between her floral dress and the iconic floral plates many of us will recognise, Nicol admitted: “The dress does look like a Wetherspoons plate.
“Honest to god, my brother, when it comes to comparisons, he’s so quick.
“How did a Wetherspoons plate come into his head when he saw my dress?”
Nicol’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @nicol.paige, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 39,400 views, 1,031 likes and 91 comments in just 24 hours.
Social media users were left “howling” at the comparison and many now confessed they can’t “unsee it.”
