I’m a mum-of-two at 19 – people judge my ‘bad decisions’ & say my life is ‘incredibly sad’ but I love it

WHILE seemingly more and more women are choosing to have children later in life, this woman is already a mum-of-two at 19.

Katrina Gomez, from the US, gave birth to twins at 15, then tied the knot a year later aged 16.

Alongside her husband, Katrina raises her daughters and has been on a mission to prove her decision to start a family so young was the right one.

Posting on TikTok, the mum often shares glimpses into her family life, from shopping hauls to cooking dinner for her bumper brood.

But her lifestyle is often met with mixed reviews, with some people praising the young mum for stepping up, and others slamming her choices.

In one clip, which has amassed over 3.8 million views, Katrina showed just one of the meals she often prepares and explained that her family always sit down to eat together.

But despite the wholesome clip, people still weren’t convinced by the mum’s lifestyle.

In fact, many thought she had “wasted her childhood” by getting married and having kids as a teenager.

“So no childhood? No proper teen years? Just straight to middle age?” one person commented on the viral video.

But Katrina clapped back and replied to the comment, noting that her kids “aren’t mistakes”.

“Yes, I was a child but in no way can you judge me. “We all make mistakes, but my kids aren’t mistakes. I have been mature and responsible.

“We have a beautiful house, our dream cars and a beautiful family,” Katrina replied.

But other TikTok users still thought Katrina was missing out by becoming a mum, as another chimed in: “Girl to girl, you should be in college, you’ve been held back.”

But others praised Katrina and her husband for creating such a great environment for their little ones.

One wrote: “Stop hating. She made a mistake when she was young, but look at her now – happy, cooks, home is clean. What do you guys want?

“She is doing the best that she can.”

Meanwhile, another teen mum offered support for Katrina and wrote: “Everyone is so judgmental.

“I was a teen mum, I wouldn’t recommend it but I don’t think we should be bashing each other over it.”

Another agreed: “Yes, don’t mind the hate. You’re doing a lot better than some people older than you.”
