A fan was quick to remark that it was a shame their partnership didn’t last[/caption]

Back in 2010, married Jason admitted he had shared sexual messages online with female fans and got caught out in a sexting scandal.

At the time, he told The Sun: “I have decided after careful consideration to step down from The One Show to concentrate on my family and tour commitments.

“I have only myself to blame. I have never felt so low.”

However, 15 years later, Jason, 44, had a surprise reunion with his former co-host Alex Jones, 48 this week.

After appearing as a guest on the show he took to Instagram and shared a happy snap of the pair.

He captioned the image: “Lovely to see the lovely @alexjonesthomson on @bbctheoneshow tonight.

It’s always such a comfy catch up. Can’t believe we’ve been friends for over 15 years. One of the most genuine people you’ll ever meet.

Great to see @romankemp too, he’s about to be one my new padel tennis friend! He doesn’t know it, but he is!

Great to chat about #TheAnswerRun & my stand up tour.

One fan commentated:  “It’s such a shame your on screen partnership didn’t last 15 years. A lovely pair.”

Surprisingly, Jason replied: “I know ! F***** it! But hey ho, we live and learn and grow!.”

At the time. Jason confessed to spending nights flirting with women on Skype and Twitter in various hotel rooms during his nationwide stand-up tour.

He said:  ‘We would start off flirty, then innuendo and then a bit saucy.

“They were the moments I thought, ‘I shouldn’t be saying that’.

“It was just nice to have some interaction I suppose. But the next morning I would wake up and think, ‘Oh my God’.

“I don’t drink or do drugs, so it’s not like I’ve those to blame – just my own stupidity.”

He claimed his wife Catherine, mother to his four children, had forgiven him at the time.

He said: “I am a good dad, a good husband. From now I am going to be one for ever.”

But two years later Jason was again exposed for sending raunchy material to a fan via Facebook.

Catherine and Jason went on to split in 2013 after six years of marriage.

The TV star went on to wed Lucy Dyke in 2017 at Manchester town hall before jetting off for a Dubai honeymoon.

And the pair now share two children together.
