Love child Liam Gallagher has never met seen with her mum for 1st time since £500,000 lawsuit against Oasis singer

OASIS singer Liam Gallagher’s love child and her mum are seen in public for the first time since he was hit with a £500,000 a year lawsuit.

And it comes as the band are due to perform live tonight at the MetLife Stadium — nine miles from where ex-lover Liza Ghorbani and their daughter Gemma, 12, live in New York.

Liam could be liable to pay up to £7million to support Gemma[/caption]

We can reveal that US legal experts say Liam, 52, could be liable to pay up to £7million because he may be ordered under American laws to support Gemma until she is 26.

And the rocker faces the threat of being personally served legal papers by Ms Ghorbani’s lawyers while on stage in the States.

In our exclusive pictures, Gemma clutches a pink comfort toy while her mum holds a water bottle with her name on it.

The girl wears a Lilo & Stitch backpack as they mingle in a busy Manhattan street — the first time she’s been pictured since 2015.

The Sun on Sunday revealed in March how Liam’s ex Liza, 51, lodged a child maintenance lawsuit in a Manhattan court.

‘Out of luck’

The music journalist wants a huge rise in yearly payments for autistic Gemma, who has special education needs.

But Liam’s lawyers have accused Liza of trying to “capitalise” on the Live Forever star’s £50million Oasis reunion tour windfall.

James Sexton, a New York-based divorce and family attorney not connected to the case, said Liam could be on the hook for payments to Gemma until she is 26 — 14 years from now.

He explained: “Liam is out of luck because the statute, the Domestic Relation law and the Family Court Act, was changed in 2021 to extend the upper age limit from 21 to 26.

“Ms Ghorbani will have to argue that Gemma is impaired enough that she cannot support herself.

“The statute is still working its way through the courts but I have seen cases where it’s been extended until 26.”

It is also possible any legal settlement order could be imposed for life due to her special needs.

Liam has complied with the legal case, including appearing via video link in court in June.

But Mr Sexton said Liza’s lawyers could personally try to serve him with legal papers in New York.

He said: “It would be an aggressive move and would be tricky given he has security.”

New York’s Supreme Court was told in June Liam has paid more than £750,000 since a confidential 2015 court order was signed.

His lawyers said he later agreed to pay £180,000 towards Gemma’s school and autism-related expenses after being informed of her condition in 2021.

But Liza is now demanding £510,000 a year to cover child support and expenses.

She would get £320,000-a-year in child support, plus a further annual payment of £190,000.

Liam’s lawyer Judy Poller told the court hearing in June the new financial demands include £22,500 a month for a home with a pool, £75,000 a year for a live-in nanny and a £5,000 holidays budget.

There needs to be a reality here. The fact is, he’ll be touring and they are looking to capitalise.

Ms Poller said at the time: “The child does have autism and Mr Gallagher appreciates the stresses and the challenges for the child.

“But there needs to be a reality here.

“The fact is, he’ll be touring and they are looking to capitalise.”

She also described Liza’s expenses as “inappropriate”.

Sources close to dad-of-four Liam said she wants “a silly amount of money” with his huge Oasis payday in mind.

Liam made peace with brother Noel, 58, to kick off Oasis’s mega £400million comeback gigs after the band split up in 2009.

They have since performed in front of sell-out crowds in Cardiff, Manchester and Wembley, and are now in the US and Canada.

Talks are ongoing behind the scenes to reach an out-of-court settlement, sources say. But both parties remain at loggerheads.

Liza’s lawyer, Amanda Creegan, says Gemma’s needs are not being met. She said they were back in court as Liam would cover tuition fees only for two years, and that he refused to “come to the table”.

Meanwhile, Liza and Gemma are living in a £3,300-a-month, one-bed apartment in Manhattan.

The claim — listed as Liza Ghorbani vs Liam Gallagher child support — remains ongoing. A hearing is not currently scheduled.

Liam is said to have had a fling with Liza soon after she interviewed him in 2010.

AFFAIR THEN A LEGAL BATTLE

By Emily-Jane Heap

LIAM Gallagher’s brief affair with Liza Ghorbani is understood to have begun in 2011 — shortly after she interviewed him for The New York Times.

2013: Their child Gemma is born in January. In July Liza sues Liam for £2million after paying the birth’s medical fees.

2014: The star’s wife — All Saints singer Nicole Appleton — files for divorce. Their six-year marriage ends in April after Liam admits adultery. In May Gemma’s temporary child support is set by a New York court — but her parents are told to negotiate a permanent one.

2015: The singer is fined £3,500 in January for failing to attend a New York hearing about the case. In March he and Liza reach an out-of-court settlement with the star reportedly agreeing to pay £3,000 a month support.

2025: In March Liza files a new child support claim in New York said to be for £500,000 a year. Liam’s lawyers claim she is trying to cash in on the money-spinning Oasis reunion tour.
