LOVE Island star Samira Mighty has shocked fans after swapping the villa for blood-soaked horror in her latest role.
The 2018 reality favourite, who has been focusing on her music career with the release of her single Cardio, has now made her big-screen debut in Bambi: The Reckoning – a twisted reimagining of the childhood classic.

Samira also has a new track out called Cardio, which she wrote her after being ghosted by a fitness influencer[/caption]
Speaking on the red carpet to The Hollywood News this week, Samira revealed just how tough filming was.
She said: “It was hard. I mean, it was a night shoot, so running around in the mud, kind of ice on the floor, covered in blood.
“It was difficult, but it was an experience, and it was a good start to my journey of me being in a horror film or in any other film.
“So I took it as a great experience … I’m so excited to watch it.”
The singer-turned-actress also explained why childhood stories like Bambi work so well when flipped into the horror genre.
She said: “I feel like as an adult, sometimes when you watch these childhood movies, there is actually slight darkness to them with the characters and you actually see it more as an adult.
“So it’s really cool that they’ve played on that and kind of made it twisted and into a different world and a different fantasy.”
Samira also teased her next moves beyond horror.
She said: “I have a song out now called Cardio because I’m a singer, and I’m releasing loads more music and hopefully some live shows and live gigs and more and more movies.”
Fans of the star were left stunned after spotting her on the big screen, running from a huge evil Bambi in the flick.
One said on Reddit: “I just saw that a movie called Bambi: The Reckoning (from the makers of Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey to give you an idea) is now available on VOD, and our very own Samira Mighty from season 4 is in it.”
Another said: “Look at her being chased by Bambi, acting her ass off. Hire this woman film procuders.”
Samira previously told The Sun that being on Love Island hasn’t always helped her career aspirations.
She said: “I think it’s been hard in the sense of it’s just a different industry and you have to now gain different fans from Love Island.
“But, you know I want to get different fans that know me just for my music.
“I will never forget the roots I came from, Love Island because the opportunity is insane but it’d be nice for fans to come up and say, I love your new song which actually they do now.
“So that’s been great. it’s been a good transition, I think.”
