Shoppers will be racing to get their hands on the groundbreaking new flavour of biscuit which will hit shelves in time for the festive season.
Carr’s Rich & Savoury Rosemary Crackers are part of parents brand Pladis’s Christmas lineup – a brand new flavour which snack-lovers have never tried before.
The extraordinary new flavour is perfect for this December, with the new biscuit easily fitting into Christmas cheeseboards.
A spokesperson for the brand said: “Rosemary is a popular flavour, which makes our new Carr’s offering perfect for festive snacking.
“Carr’s is the #1 premium cracker brand during the Christmas season, where it plays into hosting and social occasions when people are willing to spend more, whether they’re looking to enjoy a savoury snack during a movie night or cap off their Christmas lunch with a cracker-covered cheeseboard.”
New packaging
The biscuit maker is giving its Jacob’s Christmas Caddy range a fresh seasonal twist with brand-new jumper-themed packaging.
Mini Twiglets will be hitting shelves in a reindeer design, while Crinklys Cheese & Onion packs will feature Santa Claus.
Fans of Treeselets can look forward to festive foxes, while Mini Cheddars Original tins are being decorated with snowmen.
The limited-edition designs are aimed at making sharing snacks over the holidays even more fun.
Jacob’s Caddies are already worth more than £16.4million a year, making them one of the brand’s biggest festive sellers.
Pladis bosses say the new look will help bring “family fun and enjoyment” to younger shoppers in particular.
How much will they cost?
Jacob’s Christmas Caddies will be going for £2.50 each, with sales launching in supermarkets, convenience stores and wholesale depots from the end of this month.
Meanwhile, the new Rich & Savoury Rosemary Crackers from Carr’s are rolling out from the end of September.
The brand new flavoured crackers will only cost customers £1.99 for each box.
A spokesperson added: “The new pack designs are synonymous with Christmas, designed to unlock family fun and enjoyment for younger consumers.
“This fully-recyclable and unique pack format is a firm Christmas favourite that people seek out.”
How to save money on Christmas shopping
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.
Limit the amount of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.
Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you’re not having to buy multiple presents.
Plan ahead – if you’ve got the stamina and budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.
Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you’re not forking out more than you should though.
Buy in Boxing Day sales – some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.
Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.
Shop via outlet stores – you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.
They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.
In July, Mini Cheddars came out with a new flavour as part of a limited-edition summer range.
Jacob’s teamed up with Frank’s RedHot to see three well-loved crisps get a revamp.
Frank’s RedHot brought unique twist to three of Jacob’s iconic crisps: Mini Cheddars, Crinklys and Bites.
The new year-long, limited-edition range hit shelves nationwide on July 14.
With 53 per cent of the population saying they prefer spicy food, the new collaboration has impressed shoppers.
Spicy foods have also seen a surge among savoury snacks, making it the perfect time to try out the new range.
