A MAJOR supermarket has launched a huge sale on its plants and prices are as low as 1p.
Sainsbury’s shoppers have a chance to pick up the popular garden decorations for just one penny.

The deal was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, with one shopper writing: “Thank you to the person who shared their bargains I’ve managed to find some plants in my local Sainsbury’s for 1p.”
The bargain hunter picked up a range of orchids in pink potted plants that originally cost £6 but were now scanning for just one penny.
And the savvy customer was not the only person to shop the sale.
Another customer in the group also shared that they picked up a range of plants for the bargain price too.
They said: “Get to your Sainsbury’s this morning selected outdoor plants reduced to 1p for over £300+ worth of plants at 26p.”
Earlier this week, another shopper picked up 10 plant for just 10p, despite some of the plants selling for £5 the other week.
But some shoppers warned that the offer was not available in their local Sainsbury’s.
With that in mind, it may be worth ringing your local branch ahead of time to enquire about stock levels to avoid a wasted trip.
The deal also does not appear to be available to shop online, so you will need to head to your local branch to check it out.

And it is not the only offer Sainsbury’s is running.
The chain is giving customers the chance to get 10x Nectar points when they buys a Taste the Difference product this week.
Once the offer is activated, customers receive the extra points on their entire shop, not just the premium product itself.
Normally, a £30 shop would earn 30 points, worth just 15p.
But under this week’s 10× boost, that same shop earns 300 points, giving £1.50 back in value.
To get the 10× points, the offer must be unlocked before shopping. This can be done in three different ways:
- Nectar app – open the app, head to the “offers” section and activate the deal.
- Nectar website – log in online and unlock the offer from your account.
- SmartShop app or in-store handset – if using SmartShop, the unlocked offer will show automatically as you shop.
How to shop around for the best bargain
When hunting for a deal it is important to shop around to make sure you are not being overcharged.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
For example, Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
Price Spy also logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets.
Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
