Van der Gouw, 62, was in the squad that boasted iconic names such as Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov.
He is a remarkable 31 years older than his youngest team-mate, Tyler Blackett.
Van der Gouw started the game in between the sticks for the team that was captained by Carrick.
And fans were impressed with his efforts as they reacted on social media.
One posted: “Raimond van der Gouw is 62 years old and still a better keeper than Andre Onana.”
A second wrote: “Our best number two in my time supporting Utd. I’d take him over Onana.”
A third commented: “Even for a Legends game, there’s quite an age spread here! Van der Gouw and Blackmore old enough to be Tyler Blackett’s Dad!”
The Dutchman made 60 appearances for United during his six-year spell at Old Trafford.

He was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson from Sunderland for a £500,000 fee as back-up to Peter Schmeichel.
He helped the club win two Premier League titles as well as the FA Cup and Champions League in 1999.
Van der Gouw left Old Trafford in 2002 as he made the switch to West Ham.
He never made an appearance for the Hammers and left the following summer as he returned to Holland.
He had spells at RKC Waalwijk and AGOVV before hanging up his gloves in 2007 at the age of 44.
In the legends match, both Berbatov and Darren Fletcher showed they still had it as they scored in the first half.

Blackett’s inclusion in the United’s legends team raised some eyebrows as he only made 12 appearances for the club.
The defender came through the club’s academy in 2012 but failed to establish himself as a regular before leaving in 2016.
After leaving United, he had spells at Reading, Nottingham Forest, FC Cincinnati and Rotherham United.
He has been without a club since leaving the Millers in May 2024 after 18 appearances and one goal.
Before his exit from United, he had a loan spell at Celtic Park and made eight appearances for the Hoops.
