COPS have launched a probe after a man’s body was discovered in a popular park.
A cordon was put in place around the wooded area in Hinckley, Leicestershire, following the shocking discovery yesterday morning.
Emergency services were scrambled to Wykin Park just after 8.30am following reports a body had been found.
Releasing a statement last night, Leicestershire Police said: “Just after 8.30am today (Saturday) police were called to Wykin Park in Hinckley following a report that the body of a man had been found.
“Officers attended and a scene preservation is in place.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
“Identification of the deceased is a matter for HM Coroner.”
