MCDONALD’S has quietly axed two more menu items, leaving customers devastated.
The fast food giant confirmed to The Sun that the Chilli Double Cheeseburger and the Triple Chocolate Cookie came off menus in June.
McDonald’s fans say they’re ‘gutted’ by the loss of the Chilli Double Cheeseburger[/caption]
The Triple Chocolate Cookie was a fan favourite and had cost £1.99[/caption]
The Chilli Double Cheeseburger had been on the McDonald’s Saver Menu for just £2.49.
It arrived on menus back in November last year to much excitement from fans.
The burger had featured two 100% British & Irish beef patties, two slices of cheese, onions, jalapenos, pickles and spicy relish all in a signature soft, toasted bun.
Fans say they’re gutted the cheap burger option has gone.
One person wrote on Reddit: “When they bring out a decent burger they literally discontinue it.
“Honestly, I love the chilli cheeseburger. It’s one of personal favourites from McDonald’s..”
Another said: “When it was added to the saver menu, I thought it was permanent. It became my absolute favourite burger, I’m so gutted.”
Others left comments on TikTok, with one person saying: “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE CHILLI DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER.”
A fourth person added: “NOT THE CHILLI BURGER.”
The Triple Chocolate Cookie, which had been on menus for £1.99, was also hugely popular with McDonald’s fans.
The chewy cookies had been infused with milk chocolate pieces and smooth white chocolate.
One disappointed McDonald’s customer wrote: “NOT THE COOKIE PLEASE ITS MY PRIDE AND JOY NO NO NOOOOOO.”
Another said: “Nothing will beat the triple chocolate cookie.”
And a different person simply said: “I’m tearing up.”
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “We’re always evolving our menu with our customers in mind to keep things fresh and exciting.”
It comes after The Sun revealed last week that the Bacon Double Cheeseburger and the Bacon Mayo Chicken had been taken off the menu.
Both disappeared alongside the much-loved Triple Cheeseburger in May.
But it’s not all bad news for customers.
McDonald’s launched an exciting new menu last month with brand new items and some returning favourites.
The brand new items were a Jaffa Cakes McFlurry and Sprite Zero with either Green Apple or Mango and Passionfruit flavourings.
Plus, Maccies brought back the Spicy Chicken McNuggets, Chicken Big Mac, Big Tasty and more.

Plus, the fast food chain is starting up its much-anticipated Monopoly game once again.

It gives customers the chance to win a range of prizes including cash, holidays and free food.
McDonald’s revealed today what prizes will be available – you can read more on that here.
How to save at McDonald’s
You could end up being charged more for a McDonald’s meal based solely on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.
Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.
You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.
The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.
You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.
There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.
The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.
You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.
The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
