McVitie’s has introduced a brand new caramel flavour of their iconic Penguin biscuits.

The caramel version is a rich new twist on the traditional much-loved chocolate Penguin biscuit.

They are described to be packed with a “smooth” chocolate and caramel cream sandwiched between “crunchy biscuit layers”.

Each pack includes seven individually wrapped bars at £2 in total, so they can easily be packed in lunch boxes and taken on the go for snacking.

And fans can still enjoy the Penguin Caramel with its fun jokes in every bar.

The Penguin Caramel began rolling out in major supermarkets today, from Asda and Sainsbury’s to Morrisons and SPAR.

Marketing Manager for McVitie’s Penguin, Catherine Morgenroth, said: “We’re excited to be expanding our iconic McVitie’s Penguin range with this brand-new Caramel flavour.

“Chocolate and caramel is a classic combination that we know fans love, and by pairing it with our signature crunchy biscuit, we’ve created a truly irresistible snack.

“We can’t wait to see it become a new favourite in lunchboxes and biscuit tins across the country.”

McVitie’s Penguins first came in 1932, and have rolled out a number of fun flavours since their start.

Earlier in the year, they released two new versions of the Penguin chocolate bars.

This included a Chocolate Milkshake and Strawberry Milkshake flavour, which cost £1.75 for a pack of five or 35p each bar.

These flavours were described to be a fluffy sponge topped with a milkshake-flavoured filling, covered with smooth milk chocolate.

Shoppers also this year spotted two new unusual flavours of McVitie’s Moments in stores just in time for Easter.

This was their Cinnamon & Spice Shortcake and Milk Chocolate Dipped Shortcake Moments.

Jaffa Cakes are another sweet-treat favourite of the iconic brand, which have also seen new flavours.

For the first time, an exotic Yuzu version of the Jaffa cake was spotted in the UK supermarkets.

McVitie’s claimed this new flavour of Jaffa Cake is a “must-try for foodies, trendsetters and flavour chasers alike.”
