AN investigation is launched nearly every day into dodgy behaviour by Met Police officers and staffers, stats show.
The number of cases at Britain’s biggest force has doubled in the past two years, the figures reveal.

From April 2024 to March 2025, there were 301 disciplinary hearings — up from 155 in 2022/23.
The force, under scrutiny since serving officer Wayne Couzens was convicted of the 2021 Sarah Everard murder, employs about 46,000 officers and staff.
Data from the past three years shows “discreditable conduct” was the main reason for hearings, which led to 52 dismissals in the past year — up from 33.
And dismissals for sexual misconduct have almost doubled — with 28 sacked last year compared with 17 two years ago.
In the past month, officers have been sacked for sexual assault, domestic abuse, turning up for work on cocaine and keying a member of the public’s car.
They included serving officer PC Tony Watts, sacked only after a jury convicted him of rape.
Another, former PC Aaron Goodman, pointed a fake gun at his then partner and was nicked in Kent with a stash of imitation weapons and police uniforms at his home and in his car.
Andrea Simon, of End Violence Against Women Coalition, said: “It is positive that action is being taken to root out perpetrators.”
The Met said it is committed to “cultivating a healthier culture, in which colleagues feel empowered to call out bad behaviour”.
