IT may only be August, but one mother has fully kitted out her home ready for the festive season.
With four months until Christmas Day, Janet, a mother from the UK, has not only put up her tree, but has also dug out her festive candles and cushions too.
Posting on social media, the content creator gave her followers a close-up look at her Christmas decorations – but left many divided.
While some thought it was a “joke” to put up decorations during the summer holidays, others thought her displays looked “stunning.”
In a short clip shared online, Janet stood in front of her tree and beamed: “The house is covered in Christmas stuff – I gotta show you how beautiful the tree is.”
Not only this, but Janet then added: “We’ve even got the winter candles out, we’ve even got Christmas cushions.
“Even put a little tree outside – when I say little, it’s about five foot, right, and all in my hall has got lights.”
While some may not agree with putting up Christmas decorations in August, the mother shared: “You should have seen how excited the kids were, you should have seen how quick they ran to the loft.”
“We’ve been decorating for hours, so I cannot wait to actually sit down and chill, but it looks beautiful, absolutely stunning.”
Despite wanting to sit down and relax, Janet also explained that she “cannot wait” to get the Christmas decorations out for her back garden too.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @janet777799, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 53,400 views.
But social media users were left totally divided by Janet’s clip – while some thought it was too soon to put up Christmas decorations, others were impressed with her festive displays.
One person said: “This is a joke surely.”
Another asked: “Why can’t people just wait for the actual months?”

Charlotte Harrington, the manager at Summerhill’s garden centre in Basildon, Essex, explained: “For many, many years now, we’ve opened our Christmas department on the August bank holiday.
“The stock comes in early and we gradually start putting it out on the shop floor. This is just a small fraction of what we have.
“But our Christmas displays are so spectacular it takes time to get everything set up, so we have to start early.
“It may seem a little odd putting them out now — especially with the hot weather.
“But we have to plan so far in advance.”
To this, Janet responded and penned: “Because we’re not boring.”
Whilst a third commented: “Ridiculous, we still haven’t finished summer yet. I’ve seen it all now.”

But at the same time, others loved Janet’s festive displays, as one beamed: “So here for this, totally my vibe.”
A second gushed: “I love it, it’s absolutely gorgeous, it looks so cosy.”
Meanwhile, someone else wrote: “I’m so jealoussssss!! It’s stunning.”
