PETER Andre has shared a “painful and heartbreaking” update on his mum’s health – admitting he’s been left wracked with guilt.

The singer, 52, opened up about his mum Thea, 88, who is battling Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s – and has now sadly lost the ability to speak.

Peter reveals the struggle with being so far away from his parents in Australia.

He admitted he feels torn between his life in the UK with wife Emily and their kids, and the desire to be by his mum’s side as her condition worsens.

Speaking in his New! magazine column, Peter wrote: “It’s absolutely heartbreaking. With a disease like Alzheimer’s it’s so hard, number one, for the person affected, but it’s also heartbreaking for those who love and care for them.

“I see the decline happening, and I know the feelings of guilt and worry that we, her loved ones, feel. It is so painful for everyone.”

His parents received a letter from King Charles as they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last week.

Peter added: “They have received a wonderful letter from the King, and although Mum’s speech is almost non-existent now, I know that her heart will be filled with warmth because of all the love and support.”

Peter posted an emotional farewell to his mother as he prepared to fly back to the UK.

In the video, Peter was caressing her face with her hands as she attempted to communicate with him.

He captioned the post: “Spending time with mum is always the most important part of my trip. Not exactly sure what mum is saying here but words are not always needed. I will be back very soon.

“I Love her so much, I pray she knows that. I also love Australia. But back to my babies now.”

Meanwhile, Peter’s ex Katie Price has opened up on her ‘16 years of hell’ since her split.

She reflected on the high-profile relationship to the singer as she remarked, ‘there were three of us’ in the marriage.’

Katie, 47, took to the stage alongside Kerry Katona, 45, for the first night of their ‘An Evening with Katie and Kerry’ tour.

The duo appeared on Saturday night at Marine Hall in Fleetwood where they had the audience captivated with tales of showbiz, friendship, their families and failed relationships.

Kerry brought up Peter, 52, early on in the show as she sarcastically apologised for setting the pair up when they were in the I’m A Celebrity camp together in 2004.

After four years together, their marriage ended in May 2009, before the divorce was finalised four months later.

Katie explained how when Pete left the jungle, he already had a management team in place, ready to guide his career.

She then reportedly quoted an infamous line that Princess Diana spoke in her controversial interview with BBC Panorama.

This was the moment the late Princess described the relationship between King Charles and then Camilla Parker Bowles – now Her Majesty, Queen Camilla.

The Mirror reported her remarks: “Well, he had a manager. When I came out, because I wanted to be with Pete and Pete wanted to be with me, I needed to be careful how I word things now.

She continued: “[Pete’s manager] ended up managing me and Pete and… There were three of us in the marriage.”

This comes after Katie referenced the recent feud over their daughter Princess’ new ITV2 reality show, The Princess Diaries.

Katie claimed that she was personally ‘banned’ from appearing on the reality series.

In her podcast, she claimed she had been frozen out of her daughter’s blossoming career, which includes glam photoshoots, brand deals, and the show.

Katie explained: “There are memories. They were very good memories.

“I’ve suffered 16 years cause of it, from when I split up I’ve had 16 years of hell.

“But I’m glad now that the truth is coming out on social media and people are seeing.”
