REALITY TV favourite has lifted the lid on his secret struggles with addiction – after his split from his Love Island ex.
Married At First Sight star Georges Berthonneau and former Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu were understood to be dating in late 2024 ahead of Ekin-Su signing up to Love Island: All Stars.

He was left broken after his ex Ekin-Su left him for Love Island: All Stars – but she denies that they were ever together[/caption]
But things between the pair went sour and any hopes of a reconciliation after she left the villa have been thwarted amid Georges’ accusations.
Georges accused Ekin-Su of “messing him about” and suggested they were still in a relationship even when she signed up for the starry spin-off – something which Ekin has repeatedly and strenuously denied.
He revealed that his split from Ekin-Su had left him needing therapy after she pursued a relationship with Curtis Pritchard during her time on the show.
Now, George has taken to social media to open up about struggles, including his battle with addiction and hitting rock bottom.
After building his coaching business, GB Fitness & Health, he hopes to inspire and help others train their bodies and self-confidence.
To promote his business, he shared his own story on Instagram and was candid about how “fitness saved me” and gave him a “purpose.”
He posted before-and-after photos of his body, shared that he was bullied at school for the way he looked, and that he turned to drugs, food and alcohol, which led to an addiction.
In the caption, he wrote: “My Story: I’m Georges Berthonneau.
“From struggles of happiness, battling addiction, to rebuilding my body, lifestyle and mind, I’ve lived the highs and the lows.
“I know what it feels like to hit rock bottom, and I know what it takes to climb back out.
“That’s why I built GB Fitness & Health. Because coaching isn’t just programmes and meal plans, unlike others coaches it’s about real support, real transformations, and helping people win in life, not just in the gym.
“This is who I am. This is why I do it. This is my story. Love, Georges.”
Fans flooded the comment section with support, with one writing: “You should be so proud of yourself! Well done for turning your life around, not an easy thing to do!”
Another added: “Genuinely inspirational, Georges. Keep fighting the good fight.”
