RED BULL star Max Verstappen made headlines by winning the Formula One Italian Grand Prix, but a Red Bull junior made headlines for being STRIPPED of a race win.
Verstappen, 27, stormed to a record-breaking victory in Monza – claiming both the largest win margin of the season and the fastest-ever F1 race of all time.

German racer Tim Tramnitz had won the F3 Monza Sprint Race[/caption]
But Tramnitz saw the FIA strip him of the win after a start infringement[/caption]
His success in Red Bull machinery was an echo of a race in Formula 3 the day before, after Tim Tramnitz claimed victory in the season finale Sprint Race.
However, Tramnitz, 20, saw the win stripped away for a post-race penalty.
It came after the German racer was found to have made a start procedure infringement.
Following the race, Stewards heard from the team representative and Tramnitz as part of their enquiry.
And after examining all available evidence, Tramnitz was found to have failed to properly engage the start procedure.
The FIA confirmed this decision and awarded the Red Bull junior a 10-second time penalty.
That saw him drop down the order from P1 to P18.
The FIA’s written decision explained: “Race Control checked all cars regarding the engagement of the start set-up procedure at the start of the formation lap and found that only car 17 had not engaged it, therefore it was reported to the Technical Delegate.

“According to the Report of the Technical Delegate, the data from Car 17 shows that the driver did not engage the start set-up procedure for the formation lap as required by the F3 2025 System User Manual.”
In turn, Rodin Motorsport’s Roman Bilinski inherited a maiden F3 victory at the Temple of Speed.
Reacting on social media after what would have been his third F3 race win was stripped away, Tramnitz said: “We did a great job on track securing the win in the sprint today!
“Due to a technical issue which wasn’t the team’s fault, I wasn’t able to engage the start procedure in the formation lap, which resulted in a 10-second time penalty.
“This one is painful!”
Tramnitz, who won the Monza Sprint in 2024, ended the season in P4 in the driver’s standings, with the championship won by Brazilian racer Rafael Câmara.
