Rachel Stevens Icy split
Rachel Stevens and her Dancing On Ice boyfriend Brendyn Hatfield split after 3 years together[/caption]
This week, Rachel Stevens was caught in a shock split from her Dancing On Ice boyfriend, after being partnered together on the show in 2022.
The star, who is now single for the first time in 20 years, separated from American pro Brendyn Hatfield just nine months after branding him her “soulmate”.
Sources claim the pair drifted apart – and struggled to reconcile their “blended family”.
News of the separation came three years on from the end of her marriage to Alex Bourne.
A friend revealed : “It is incredibly sad and a relatively recent thing.
“Both Rachel and Brendyn felt there was no way forward for them.”
They added: “But it isn’t easy trying to make a blended family run seamlessly and in the end, tensions between Rachel and Brendyn got too much and they don’t ever want to row in front of their kids who remain their priority.
“It is obviously a huge transition for Rachel who has effectively been in a relationship for the past two decades – but she will doubtless be inundated with offers now she’s back on the market.
“It is heartbreaking but Rachel and Brendyn hope to maintain a friendship.”
Jon Lee’s Celibacy
Jon Lee shocked viewers on his Celebs Go Dating debut when he revealed that he’s been celibate for six years[/caption]
Jon recently admitted that he was battling a secret drug addiction[/caption]
Former S Club star Jon Lee shocked viewers on his Celebs Go Dating debut when he revealed that he’s been celibate for six years.
“I’ve been single for six years and in that times I’ve been celibate as well,” Jon, 43, confessed.
Jon’s journey to looking for love again has certainly been eventful, with the star recently admitting he was sectioned after battling a secret drug addiction.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jon revealed that he got into crystal meth – a highly addictive ‘party’ drug that can cause psychosis, hallucination, paranoia and mania.
This was when he was in his thirties – long after S Club had gone their separate ways.
He explained: “I didn’t even recognise myself at that time.
“Sometimes, in the midst of one of the psychotic episodes where I’d be smashing my flat up with a hammer, I’d catch sight of myself in the mirror and say: “What the f***?”.
“I’d have a moment of lucidity, thinking: “I was a successful young man, I had a brilliant career, incredible life. What am I doing?”
Love and War
Hannah Spearitt sparked a feud with her former bandmates after the death of fellow member and past lover Paul Cattermole[/caption]
Back in 2023, Hannah Spearitt sparked a feud with her bandmates after the death of fellow member Paul Cattermole.
Although the whole band will have been hit hard by Paul’s death, it seems to have been the most difficult for Hannah, who had a romantic relationship with him when the pair were younger.
Back in 2023, S Club rocked stages up and down the UK whilst celebrating their 25th anniversary, but Hannah decided not to join them following Paul’s death that same year.
The singer had shared that her mental health deteriorated after this and she started suffering from severe panic attacks.
Hannah revealed none of the other S Club 7 singers spoke to her after she pulled out of the tour.
An emotional Hannah at the time, pondered: “Will I ever perform with them again? I just don’t know.
“I’ve not spoken to any of them since I left, which is fine.
“I was extremely excited — we all were — to get back as a seven.
“But then Paul died and everything changed. It gave me time to reflect on whether it was the right thing for me to do.
“I’m really sad we aren’t in touch. They’ve gone their way and I’ve gone mine. I wish them all the best.”
Shock Split
S Club’s Tina Barrett has tried to keep her personal life out of the spotlight since shooting to fame in 1998.
Tina was on cloud nine after giving birth to baby Roman back in 2016.
But when the tot was just three-years-old, the singer and her other half Paul Cashmore– who is best known for his role on Channel 4’s Hunted – decided to go their separate ways after six years together.
At the time she told OK! magazine: “Walking away from our relationship was so hard. It felt like my world caved in.
“I guess people change. You have to put the work in for a relationship and, unfortunately, sometimes that doesn’t happen.
The former couple have still managed to make things work between them for the sake of their son.
Tina explained: “Me and his dad are friends. We were together a long time and some things just don’t work out.
“Walking away was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. But it was better we went our separate ways. Paul sees Roman a lot and we’ve kept it amicable.”
Man Ban
Jo O’Meara has faced her own relationship struggles which has seen left her single for 17 years — but that’s exactly how she likes it.
The singer became a singleton shortly after her having her son Lenny, 17, with ex partner Bill Slate.
Although little is known about the couples relationship the pair co-parent amicably and she has not been in another relationship since.
Back in 2022, she said: “I’ve been on my own for 14 years. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had little kisses and smooches here and there but nothing serious.
“I haven’t been in a relationship since Lenny’s father and I like being single and on my own. I haven’t tried dating apps either, because I’m not interested. I’ve got two rescue dogs, my career, and a son who I love. I’m happy with that.”
Marital Mayhem
Rachel Stevens split from her childhood sweetheart Alex Bourne in July 2022[/caption]
Just one month after their 13-year anniversary, pop icon Rachel Stevens split from her childhood sweetheart Alex Bourne in July 2022.
The S Club 7 star and her ex, who share two daughters Amelie and Minnie split just after her appearance on the 14th series of Dancing On Ice.
On the show she formed a relationship with her ice-skating partner Brendyn after realising they were more than friends whom she has also now shockingly split from.
Ex husband Alex explained how ‘terrifying’ his divorce was, speaking to the Daily Mail he said: “It was terrifying at the start and it’s not easy and maybe I am making it all happy families – but we’ve handled it really well.
“I guess we are a blended family and I’m totally cool with it.
‘I’m happily in a relationship and have a supportive partner, who my kids absolutely adore. Both myself and my ex-wife are in happy relationships and we are very supportive of each other.
Cheating Allegations
After Rachel split from her husband Alex the news stirred up upsetting memories for the singer’s ex Jeremy Edwards.
The former Holby City and Hollyoaks heartthrob admitted it made him again question whether the S Club 7 star had cheated on him during their time together.
Jeremy was engaged to Rachel from 2002 to 2003.
It was widely reported that they parted because of his drinking — but he later claimed it was because he didn’t trust her.
At the time, Jeremy said: “Since this story came up, it’s brought all this up again.
“And I’ve thought about it more, I’ve thought about our relationship, and I think she did have a fling.
“I would never have had her doing the bedroom bolero a Dancing On Ice pro.
“I would never in a million years have thought she would do something like this.
“But because of the story that has come out, it just makes me question our relationship.
A spokesman for Rachel fired back: “The allegation that she cheated on him is false.”
