Screwfix’s gadget cleans windows in seconds & leaves them streak-free – it removes condensation in winter too

CLEANING windows and shower screens is usually a chore – but a handy gadget is making it quick and streak-free.

Shoppers across the UK are raving about the Karcher WV1 Cordless Window Vacuum from Screwfix – a lightweight, rechargeable device that leaves glass, tiles and mirrors gleaming without streaks.

The cordless vacuum sucks up moisture instead of smearing it across glass

The compact cleaner, which costs £39.99, boasts a 250mm head, a 100ml tank and a battery lasting up to 25 minutes, meaning it can cover up to 70m² on a single charge.

It’s designed to be used both upright and horizontally, making it perfect for tackling tricky spots like bathroom screens, mirrors and tiles.

Unlike traditional cloths or sprays, the vacuum sucks up moisture rather than smearing it across the surface.

That makes it a time-saver as well as a mess-free option for busy households.

It’s also easy to empty.

The small container can be quickly removed and tipped away, ready to go again with no fuss.

Fans have flocked to the comments online to share their reviews.

One wrote: “Great little machine does exactly what it says on the tin.”

Another said: “I bought this over a year ago and I still using it.”

A third happy shopper added: “Brought this to help with keeping the shower screens spotless. Works like a charm.”

The cordless design also means there are no cables to get in the way, so users can move freely from the bathroom to the kitchen to the patio doors.

With winter setting in, shoppers also say it’s ideal for clearing condensation from windows in seconds.

But the Karcher isn’t the only cleaning bargain catching shoppers’ attention.

Bargain rivals

Budget supermarket Aldi has brought back its popular Cyclonic Stick Vacuum, priced at £39.99.

The stick model is designed with powerful suction that can be switched between eco and maximum modes, and it features a washable 550ml dust container.

It also comes with crevice and brush attachments, plus a longer tube for reaching awkward corners.

Shoppers say the swivel head, which turns 180 degrees, makes it easy to move around furniture and under tables.

And Aldi isn’t the only one.

Lidl’s £20 rival

The German supermarket Lidl is currently selling the Tower Cordless Window Cleaner, which promises to instantly rid your panes of condensation for £20.

It claims to “give your windows a gleaming shine” with powerful suction that can also be used in showers or on tiles.

There’s no need to worry about buying batteries either, as the rechargeable pack gives up to 30 minutes of uninterrupted use.

Those hoping to get their hands on one will need to be quick as it’s only on shelves for a limited time – and with the price dropped to £19.99 from the RRP of £25.99, it’s expected to sell out fast.

Shoppers who have already snapped it up have flooded the reviews with praise, with the device racking up almost exclusively five-star feedback.
