Shock new telly feud as Chase star issues swipe at ‘rude’ comedian and brands him a ‘douchebag’

PAUL Sinha of The Chase has caught public attention after speaking ill of a comedian on the Bad Boys Done Good podcast.

The “Sinnerman”, 55, may be best known for his role on the popular ITV quiz show The Chase, but he actually has 25 years of stand-up under his belt.

During the podcast episode, Paul was candidly asked who the “biggest douchebag [he’s] ever met in TV” is, and it’s safe to say the professional quizzer didn’t sugarcoat his answer.

“This is a safe space. You could be honest,” the podcast host further coaxed.

Paul responded by diving straight into an anecdote about someone he met at an ITV party.

“Well I was at an ITV party a few years ago when somebody basically was really really nasty and rude to me in conversation.

“When I was trying to sort of fanboy about him and hero-worship him.

“In the end he told his mate, you don’t even know who this twat is. And they walked off together laughing at my discomfort.

“I wanted to shout out, “you’re not even the funniest person in your marriage. That would be Jennifer Saunders.”

Paul then revealed who he was speaking about, by name.

“Yeah I’m talking about Adrian Edmondson… he’s a douchebag.”

Paul Sinha has been a core member of The Chase’s team since 2011 – as the fourth chaser to join the show.

He has also appeared on more TV shows including The Weakest Link, University Challenge: The Professionals, Are You an Egghead?, Mastermind, and Taskmaster.

After a strong start on the TV series he even went on to host his own quiz show – Paul Sinha‘s TV Showdown – for two seasons before it concluded in 2022.

Before joining the Bradley Walsh series, Paul was a successful stand-up comedian in his own right, performing shows across festivals and international stages.

He still shows his humorous side today, with tickets to his latest shows currently on sale.

Prior to any of these more creative pursuits, Paul was a doctor.

Meanwhile Adrian has been on the comedy scene since the 1980s.
