Shoppers find clever way to get Starbucks pumpkin spice latte for just 37p – but not everyone’s convinced

SHOPPERS have spotted a clever trick to get a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte for just 37p.

It actually involves heading to your local Sainsbury’s store.

The supermarket is selling sachets of Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Instant Coffee – and they’re on offer for £1.50 with a Nectar card.

You get four sachets per pack, so that works out as about 37p each.

It’s much cheaper than buying a Pumpkin Spice Latte in your local Starbucks.

If you want to buy one ready made, you’ll be paying £4.90 for a Tall version.

A Large size would cost you as much as £6.15.

Customers were left outraged by the cost of the drinks this autumn, after they were selling for £4.65 last year.

Even if you don’t have a Nectar card, the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Instant Coffee Sachets will set you back just £2.15 in Sainsbury’s.

That works out at just 50p per coffee.

A description on the Sainsbury’s website says the instant coffee mix is “inspired by the iconic Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte”.

It says it uses the same 100% Arabica beans as Starbucks coffeehouses and it’s blended together with dairy milk, pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Some shoppers have been raving about the product.

One reviewer wrote: “Delicious creamy and full of flavour. Taste just as good as it does when I buy in store at Starbucks.

“Highly recommend. Great price too.”

Another said: “These lattes are lovely. Creamy coffee and that perfect, warm spicey autumny taste. Perfect with my cinnamon bun too.”

And another said they “absolutely love” the instant coffee sachets.

But others were less convinced and said it didn’t taste like the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.

“I tried it and its not that nice. It doesn’t actually taste like the one they make in the shop. I didn’t like it at all,” one person wrote.

Another complained: “Just had these. They taste nothing likes Starbucks PLS. More like melted butter with a hint of coffee.”

One particularly disgruntled shopper said it was “possibly the worst instant latte I’ve ever bought”.

They said they were left “disappointed” as there was “not even a hint” of pumpkin spice latte flavour.

Other shoppers recommended similar pumpkin spice lattes from other stores.

One person said they get their instant coffee from Home Bargains and found it “soooo much more affordable & tastier”.

Another said they preferred the Kenco version.
