Strictly ‘throuple’ shock as ‘non-monogamous relationship creates tension backstage ahead of new series’

A STRICTLY Come Dancing throuple has sent shockwaves around the cast backstage on the BBC show, it has been claimed.

Sources allege some of the show cast were left “absolutely shocked” as the news of the non monogamous relationship was let slip, according to MailOnline.

A throuple is a romantic relationship involving three people.

It can be any gender, all the same, or a mixture between men and women, in a committed relationship.

Previously in the showbiz world, The Saturdays hitmaker Una Healy was in the same arrangement with boxer David Haye and model Sian Osborne.

Yet now Strictly is at the heart of throuple speculation with a source telling the publication “there is a ‘throuple’ taking place behind the scenes, which has angered some Strictly stars.”

The source, who told how the three people can’t be named for legal reasons, had “raised many eyebrows backstage.”

They added to MailOnline: “It is, like, the best gossip ever.

“It all came out during a night out, people were absolutely shocked.

“These are people who have many friends and many connections to Strictly and while nobody is actually doing anything wrong in the scenario, you can only imagine how it has become the talk of the show.

“You can’t even begin to think what middle-England would make of it while they are watching at home on a Saturday night, so it’s best it’s never exposed.”

The Sun has gone to Strictly for comment.

It comes after The Sun exclusively revealed Strictly pro Gorka Marquez has pulled out of the new series – and for three weeks will be a judge on the Spanish version of the show, Bailando Con Las Estrellas, this autumn.

SHOW CRISIS

It comes amid a troubled time for the show after The Sun revealed one Strictly star was arrested on rape charges.

We told how the male suspect is also being quizzed by police over allegations involving “non-consensual intimate image abuse”.

The police inquiry is not related to the current series.

The Met Police investigation comes after a BBC-led inquiry into claims of drug abuse by stars on the show.

The dramatic development — separate from the upcoming series — is one of the biggest crises to be faced by the BBC since newsreader Huw Edwards dodged jail last year for possessing indecent images of children.

This month, we revealed the Beeb — with the help of lawyers Pinsent Masons — was probing claims that two Strictly stars had abused cocaine.

A source at the time told us: “This is a clearly a huge concern to everyone connected to Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC, which is why it’s being treated very seriously.

“The BBC and its external lawyers are in contact with the police over the rape allegation, as well as the drugs claims. Both matters are being investigated by separate detectives.

“It’s far from an ideal situation, particularly as it’s just a few weeks until the new series starts, but this is a serious criminal investigation.”

Unrelated Strictly scandals include Sherlock actress Amanda Abbington accusing Giovanni Pernice of bullying and Graziano Di Prima being sacked for kicking celeb partner Zara McDermott.

STRICTLY CHAMP

Meanwhile, with the new Strictly series set to kick off, fans have already spotted this year’s winner.

Despite the new series having not even launched yet, some fans reckon they’ve identified this year’s Glitterball champ.

Former Emmerdale star Lewis Cope joined this year’s line-up as a last minute replacement.

The 30-year-old stepped in after Game of Thrones‘ Kristian Nairn withdrew on medical grounds.

As it happens, Lewis already has years of dance experience under his belt.

He previously spent eight years in the dance group, Ruff Diamond who were runners up in Sky TV’s Got to Dance competition.

When he was 18-years-old, Lewis found himself performing in front of judges Ashley Banjo, Kimberly Wyatt and Aston Merrygold.

The ex-soap actor has also competed in the world championship final three times.

Meanwhile, this year’s Strictly line-up also includes Dani Dyer, Balvinder Sopal, Thomas Skinner and Vicky Pattinson.

The Sun also exclusively revealed how one show professional had accidentally revealed their celebrity partner.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
