Teenage girl ‘sexually assaulted’ in woodland in early hours of the morning as cops launch desperate appeal

COPS have launched an urgent appeal after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in wooded area.

The attack reportedly unfolded in the early hours of Saturday morning near Akers Way, in Swindon.

Wiltshire Police confirmed the victim was targeted between the Cheney Manor Industrial Estate and Vicarage Road.

Cops are urgently appealing to anyone who could have been in the area between 1am and 10am.

Anyone with dashcam footage or information that could assist investigations is urged to come forward.

A spokesperson from the force said: “The assault, on a teenage girl, took place between the Cheney Manor Industrial Estate and Vicarage Road and we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area between 1am and 10am in the early hours of Saturday.

“Detectives would also like to hear from anyone who may have recorded dashcam footage from this time period.
