A DRUNK pensioner had to be pulled from the sea after her car shot into the water at a ferry terminal on a New Zealand island.
Footage shows the SUV smashing through a glass bus shelter and into the ocean at the main passenger ferry terminal on Waiheke Island.
Stunned onlookers rushed to help as the woman’s car sank.
Fortunately, she was able to clamber from the vehicle and was helped out of the water.
Police Sergeant Ray Matthews said: “The vehicle entered the water and became submerged.
“Fortunately, the sole occupant of the vehicle was able to climb out and was helped by the public to safety.”
