The 200g chocolate treats are £4.50 and are available in-store and online.
Taking to Snack Reviews Facebook page, one savvy shopper shared the love.
“Closer look at New Terry’s Chocolate Mint Truffles from Iceland,” they wrote, alongside photos of the truffles.
“You get a strong smell of mint the moment you open these truffles, one for mint chocolate lovers,” they said.
The indulgent snacks whipped up a stir on social media, with one writing: “These look incredible.”
“Yes please,” agreed a second.
“Yummy,” wrote a third and a fourth added: “I need these”.
Others tagged friends and family in the post, making sure they hadn’t missed Iceland’s latest arrival.
Although not everyone was sold on the truffles.
Over on Newfoodsuk Facebook page, one raged: “Four pound flipping fifty!!!! For THAT tiny pouch?”
And that’s not the only new flavour to delight shoppers, there’s now Terry’s Chocolate Caramel.
It still comes in a ball shape that lets you break off the pieces but it doesn’t contain any orange flavour at all.
The 145g tasty treat is available in store and online at the Co-op for £2.00.
Social media users seem excited by the new treat, with one person saying: “Just had this and it’s delicious!!”
Another said: “I been waiting years for this (sic).”
Others said they “need” to try the new chocolate.
However some chocolate fans questioned whether the new flavour would live up to the original Terry’s Chocolate Orange.
“Can’t beat the classic! I’ve tried the rest and only mint comes close,” one person said.
Another added: “Hmmmm not sure about this, not sure they are going to be able to beat the original.”
The original Terry’s Chocolate Orange Milk Ball is a combination of milk chocolate and real orange oil.
It comes in orange foil packaging and its pieces are designed to look like orange slices.
How to save money on chocolate
We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don’t have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…
Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.
Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
