And now, the fairytale-themed attraction has announced plans to renovate its Raveleijn park show.
The show at the park currently follows the tale of the ‘Five Horsemen’, who have been summoned to the city of Raveleijn.
There they train to protect the city, but evil Count Olaf appears wanting to cause havoc and the Horsemen must work together to save the city.
This format of the show, which is located in the themed area of Raveleijn, will run until the Christmas holidays.
The themed area will also be renovated and expanded for the new show and a new attraction as well.
When the show launches in late 2026, it will feature a new storyline, effects and the current main characters.
There will also be additional decor in the open-air arena where it is performed, as well as a new dining venue and gift shop.
In addition to the show, a brand new attraction will also be launched just outside the city walls.
According to Efteling, it will be “a rotating, floating experience where visitors will feel like they’re flying along on the ravens’ wings”.
On the ride, guests will ‘fly’ through the area, as well as experience different tilting motions.
Koen Sanders, director of product, market, and image at Efteling said: “In keeping with our vision for complete immersion, we’re considering the entire area surrounding the park show for this development.
“The Raveleijn story lends itself perfectly to this. By placing the new attraction outside the open-air arena, we’re expanding the theme area.”
He added that the show will likely be performed several times a day, almost year-round.
Efteling theme park is divided into five themed ‘realms’, including Marerijk – the fairy realm; Fantasierijk – the fantasy realm; Reizenrijk – the travel realm; Ruigrijk – the adventure realm and Anderrijk – the other realm.
Guests have previously compared it to Disney, with one saying: “If you are travelling to the Netherlands, we highly encourage visiting Efteling. I prefer it now to Disney because of the variety it offers.”

Another said it was a “European twist” on Disney.
The European attraction also recently opened the Efteling Grand Hotel, which looks like it is straight out of a Wes Anderson film.
It is the largest hotel at the attraction, themed around a traditional grand dame hotel with stories featured throughout the interior design.
In total there are 140 rooms and suites in the hotel, spread across seven floors.
The park also has a new free fall ride, which opened this summer.
Plus, there is a movie-inspired hotel at the theme park with chandeliers made of keys and themed meals.
