It sees hopeful contestants battle it out to get their hands on her fortune.
Those who felt they contributed most then nominated themselves as a “Claimant.”
The group had released £5,600 from the total fund, with one player getting their hands on that money.
Four players put their names forward: namely, Matt, Zara, Jesse and Emma.
The remaining contestants – now a “jury” – selected Jesse to receive control of the £5,600.
He had the choice to either keep it for himself, or split it with members of the jury.
As unsuccessful Claimants, the other three would not be able to receive any money.
Writing online, viewers noted neither Matt nor Zara seemed too pleased by this decision.
One wrote: “Matt thinks he is better than what he is. He is going to be a nightmare.”
Another added: “Zara is an absolute nightmare #TheInheritance.”
A third shared: “#TheInheritance Matt’s fuming.”
As the instalment ended on a cliffhanger, viewers will have to wait to see Jesse’s decision.
Each episode sees Liz, in her role as Deceased, set the group a task which they must fulfil.
They must work together to do the best they can do for the best chance at winning the money.
Only one person is eligible to win the entire prize fund as the sole beneficiary of the estate.
This is decided amongst the group who must volunteer themselves to be the ‘winner’ based on how much they contributed to the group’s overall performance.
19-year-old Jesse is the youngest among the line-up and ahead of the show’s debut, said he believed he has excellent instincts to “gauge” other people.
The content creator said: “I push myself when I want to do something.
“I’ll be a team player, because we have to do it as a group.
“But then if there’s a scenario where I have to do something by myself, or I have to decide things by myself, then I’ll happily do that as well. I’m a team player until it’s no longer a team!”
The Inheritance airs on Channel 4.
