The London Mercure hotel with stunning suites and amazing burgers

Where is the hotel?

The hotel is in the London district of Fulham, so it is a great location in the summer due to its proximity to Wimbledon.

But also a short tube journey aware are top attractions such as The Science Museum and the V&A.

What is the hotel like?

The hotel has 508 rooms – 226 in the Ibis and 282 in Mercure.

However, they all share the same grand lobby, with brightly lit lounging areas.

What are the rooms like?

Recently renovated, there are nine room types ranging from Classic Rooms with a queen bed to a Deluxe Privilege with a king bed.

Each room comes with all of the basics, including a Nespresso machine and tea making station as well as a 55 inch TV and working desk.

But upgrade to the fancier rooms for amazing city views.

Really want to splash out? The Junior Suite has its own grand living area with sofa and dining table area.

What is there to eat or drink there?

Definitely head downstairs to Barnaby’s for your dinner.

The menu is extensive, with a range of burgers and salads.

I went for the classic Barnaby’s Burger, with the maple bacon and crispy onions making it one of the best I’ve had, especially with the very chunky chips.

Want something simple? There is even a build your own pizza section, although leave space for the chocolate cheesecake.

Come back at breakfast too, with all the standard hot and cold options including cereals and pastries as well as all the trimmings to make a Full English breakfast.

Along with its own bar, there is also the Lobby Bar if you want to grab a coffee and croissant to go.

What else is there to do there?

There isn’t much else to do at the hotel but it is a beautiful base for exploring.

It is also a great spot in the summer, being close to the grounds of Wimbledon – you might even spot a tennis player or two.

Is the hotel family friendly?

Guests can request cots, depending on availability and there are also family rooms.

Is there access for guests with disabilities?

The hotel is wheelchair accessible, with six accessible rooms having 32″ wide doorways.
