Sammy has made £19,234.82 on Vinted[/caption]
Sammy, a full-time reseller from the UK, confirmed that he has made a jaw-dropping £19,234.82 by flogging second-hand buys on Vinted.
Now, Sammy has shared the nostalgic items you must nab if you want to make “good profit” – and one is sure to leave you surprised.
Posting on social media, the content creator said: “Three things to keep an eye out for at the boot sales that can make you a good amount of profit.
Vintage Polly Pocket
First things first, according to Sammy, vintage Polly Pocket children’s toys can go for “big, big money” when resold online.
He stressed the importance of finding the Polly Pocket toys with the year on them, as he held up one he found from 1995.
Sammy beamed: “If these have the figures, they go for crazy amounts of money, so keep an eye out for these.”
Blu-Ray DVD Players
Not only do vintage children’s toys sell well on Vinted, but if you’ve got an old DVD player you haven’t used in a decade, you may be shocked to know that it could earn you up to £40.
The professional reseller claimed that Blu-Ray DVD Players can be sold “for some decent money,” especially if you got the remote.
He added: “Even if you find them without the remote, you can buy a remote online and a lot of Blu-Ray Players at a minimum tend to go for like £25/30.”
New clothes with tags
Not only do nostalgic buys sell well on Vinted, but clothes that are new with tags are also sought after too.
Sammy explained: “When it comes to clothing, anything that’s new with tags – even some of the cheaper brands, can do pretty well.
“If you find some M&S trousers and they’re still new with tags, they can still sell for some pretty solid money.”

Do you need to pay tax on items sold on Vinted?
QUICK facts on tax from the team at Vinted…
- The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it.
- Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017.

Another added: “Thank you very much for the heads up. I’m a CS manager and we have these items in our store and they were so low priced.
“We will now put them at a higher price. Thank you for the information. Keep it coming.”
A third commented: “I bought two LG Blu-Rays with remotes this morning.”
