It might be cold, but a dip in one of the pools will definitely be refreshing.

Anyone not used to the chilly water temperatures should consider wearing a wetsuit.

The pools are described as being “magical” by those who visit, and even a “bucket list” destination.

Another added on Tripadvisor: “Beautiful place to visit. Bring your swimming stuff as further up there are pools you can swim in (very cold).”

Visitors should be careful driving up to the pools as people have said it’s steep and rocky.

Day-trip visitors can access the Fairy Pools by taking the ferry from Mallaig or come across the road bridge from Kyle of Lochalsh.

Once on the road to Loch Brittle, follow the signs to the Fairy Pools.
