Uber has issued a public apology to the 19-year-old, but she wants more to be done[/caption]

“Never getting an Uber by myself again,” she wrote over the top of the clip.

And she further explained in the caption: “Guy was playing sounds of women screaming and crying and gunshots the whole journey.

“And took me a longer route.

“Then continued to stare at me through the wind mirror.

“Don’t even know how I would report this with me not getting full thing on video.”

Uber was among the first to comment, with a message from its support team which read: “This is very concerning and we’re sorry this happened.

“We’ve gone ahead and escalated the matter to a specialised team to investigate further.”

Others in the comments section wondered if the driver was “watching a film connected to the speakers”.

To which the woman responded: “For those saying ‘it’s a movie on the dashboard’…

“The whole journey it was just those noises. No talking.

“No music, no nothing, just women crying and screaming from start to finish, using different audios.

“I wish it was just a film on his dashboard but it wasn’t.

“And I could see his dashboard there was nothing on it.”

As the comments kept on coming, she then returned to TikTok to share a video update.

“Let’s just say it technically never got solved,” she wrote.

“They rang me after their ‘helpful’ comment and basically said that I would never get that driver again.”

How much money Uber drivers make

According to Uber, the money you make depends on when, where and how often you drive.

Uber shared how earnings are calculated:

  • You receive a payment for every completed trip.
  • Each city has a minimum amount that you’ll make for any trip. This makes sure your earnings reflect the effort you put in, even on short trips.
  • Checking the heat map in your app will tell you when and where rider demand is high, so you can earn more on top of your standard trip payment.

According to Indeed, the average Uber Drivers monthly salary ranges from approximately £700 per month for Taxi Driver to £2,500 per month for Delivery Driver.

Average Uber Drivers hourly pay ranges from approximately £9.81 per hour for Delivery Driver to £10.85 per hour for Taxi Driver.

“When I asked about others’ safety and what will happen further they replied with ‘we can’t share that information with you’,” she continued.

“My guess is, it never got investigated and people can still get him as a driver, which I find disgusting.

“So please be careful when travelling with Uber!”

Uber has been contacted for comment.
